Taking the TIMSS Test

Each of the sample tests Edinformatics designed, use actual questions from the TIMSS (Third International Math and Science Survey). Tests consist of 25 questions from each of the representative groups.

 Test Assessment:

After you submit your final answers your test will be graded within seconds. Your total score will be returned showing the following paths (links)you may take to assist you:

  • A table with your answer to each question and the correct answer
  • A bar graph that shows how all students that have taken the test performed on each question.
  • A table that shows student performance for each question during the original TIMSS international test and the average international score.
About TIMSS Test

TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) is designed to help countries all over the world improve student learning in mathematics and science. It collects educational achievement data at the 4th and 8th grades to provide information about trends in performance over time together with extensive background information to address concerns about the quantity, quality, and content of instruction.

Data collection for TIMSS 2003 was completed in 2004; data for the TIMMS 2007 Test is now available...

Prepare for the next TIMMS Test to be administered in the US in Spring 2011.

NOTE:

.."TIMSS 2011 is the fifth in IEA’s series of international assessments of student achievement dedicated to improving teaching and learning in mathematics and science..60 Countries are planning to participate"

We urge you to visit the TIMSS homepage for complete details.
