| The 20 occupations listed
below will account for more than one-third of all new jobs, 8 million combined,
over the 2002-12 period according to the Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor
Statistics. Health occupations will account for some of these increases in employment,
as well as occupations in education, sales, transportation, office and administrative
support, and food service. Many of these occupations are very large, and will
create more new jobs than will those with high growth rates.
Increase will range from 40% increase in Computer System Analysts to 60% growth
in Medical Assistants. |
